GTA Hires New Environmental Scientist

Jeff Reagan, PWS, CPSWQ

GreenTrust Alliance is happy to announce that Jeff Reagan, PWS CPSWQ has joined the organization as an environmental scientist.  Jeff is a certified Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS), and Certified Professional in Stormwater Quality (CPSWQ) with experience in applied river morphology, wetland and stream restoration, and natural resource assessment.  Jeff had a successful career in banking and finance, but about 10 years ago obtained an advanced degree in Environmental Science and Biology and joined the ecological restoration industry, establishing himself as a talented and well-respected field biologist in the mid-Atlantic region.

Jeff is actively engaged with multiple nonprofit watershed groups, serves on the Board of Directors for the Maryland Water Monitoring Council, and several professional associations.  His knowledge and experience in environmental site assessment, permit processes and standards, and tools and techniques of ecological restoration, combined with previous experience in the banking industry, enables Jeff to be a substantial contributor to GTA’s mission of building strategic partnerships with public and private entities to identify, acquire, restore and conserve environmentally degraded sites and corridors that result in enhanced ecological functions and habitat values at a large scale.  His focus in 2019 – 2020 will be on the monitoring of restoration sites and conservation easements, as well as the assessment of degraded lands under consideration for restoration practices.

ABOUT US >

Green Trust Alliance (GTA) is a nationally accredited land trust and public charity strongly dedicated to accelerating large scale conservation, preservation, and public lands access efforts in the Mid-Atlantic region. To accomplish this, we work with industry leaders, nonprofit partners, and public agencies to identify important public and private properties in our conservation focus areas. In these areas, we use a multi-scale, multi-project approach to create a suite of community and ecological benefits where people live, work, and play, and to ensure long-term active stewardship of these lands and parks.
